PREVI
About us
Created in 1904, even before the Official Social Security system in our country, PREVI - Banco do Brasil Employee Pension Fund – is the biggest pension fund in Latin America and the world’s 34th* largest in assets. PREVI is a closed private pension fund, and its participants are Banco do Brasil and PREVI employees. The institution works to provide these participants with social security benefits to complement those provided by the Official Social Security System, aiming to contribute to improving the quality of life not only of the participants, but of their dependents too.
PREVI’S resources come, essentially, from personal and employer contributions, in addition to from special contributions set forth by the Bylaws or in a specific instrument. These resources are invested in stock, real estates, loans, funding operations, and in other options. These investments ensure benefit payments. Additionally, since PREVI invests its resources in Brazil, in companies that have their performances guided by social responsibility, PREVI ends up benefiting not only the participants, but the Brazilian society as a whole.
